In The Beginning

It all started when I married that girl from North Carolina. Inevitably, we moved back close to her home, and ended up in Virginia. That led to joining a missional church that slowly taught me the basic truth of expressing God's love to others. Finally, here we are, my daughter and I, flying out to Kampala, Uganda - final destination Gulu, which is the epicenter of refugee and orphan activity for that part of Africa.

Project goal: Assist in slums, orphanages and refugee camps to help the children and families. We travel to Kampala leaving US June 19, 07 and stay: Two nights in Kampala, 6 nights in Gulu, 1 night in Kampala, 3 nights in Nairobi, and return July 4, 07. We are a team of 18 souls, including 6 from Virginia, 4 from California, 4 from Oregon & 4 SOI Staffers. SOI is "Sports Outreach Institute" which has been in Uganda providing sports teams for the invisible children of Uganda many years.

It's going to change the world...
